King Tako
The last time anyone wore this crown was 1906. NRK reports the king saying:
– It’s impractical, probably uncomfortable too. I don’t know, I’ve never worn it.
– Has the king ever wanted to try it on?”
– No.
The Norwegian royal crown weighs 1.5 kilos, is made of gold, and studded with gemstones and pearls. For more than 115 years, it has lived a quiet life behind glass in the Archbishop’s Palace in Trondheim.
The next time it leaves its display and travels to Oslo will be when Harald passes away. Like his father and grandfather before him, the crown will be placed on the coffin during the lit de parade. Let’s hope that’s a long way off ❤️.
In the meantime, it graces Tako’s head. And perhaps soon, your wall?

Shipping
In Norway, shipping is always free. Because of the small size of the print, it is sent as a letter (no tracking), and usually arrives within 3–5 business days to your mailbox, unless «Posten» has other ideas.
For international orders, shipping is between flat 200-400NOK depending on the country, and your package typically takes 7–14 business days, depending on how friendly customs is feeling.
Important information for International orders
Orders shipped outside Norway may be subject to import VAT, customs duties, and handling fees. I’d love to skip that bit for you, but your local authorities might have other plans.
