Ro (Calm), Photopolymer

At times, it looks as if the whippet carries the weight of the world on its narrow shoulders. Perhaps it does – but never enough to disturb its sleep. There’s something almost sculptural about a sleeping whippet, and few things possess that effortless grace, a quality I have sought to capture in «Ro».

«Ro», or «Calm», is issued in a signed edition of 14, printed on Hahnemühle 100% cotton etching paper. The sheet measures approximately 297 × 360 mm, with the image area about 163 × 220mm.

About the technique

Photopolymer is a modern intaglio process where a digitized image is transferred onto a light-sensitive plate using UV light, then developed in water. The plate is printed in the manner of traditional intaglio, combining photographic detail with the texture and depth of printmaking.

Each print is considered an original. Every impression is hand-inked and pressed by the myself, giving each work subtle differences and its own personality. Because the process is both careful and time-consuming, editions are kept deliberately small.

Shipping

In Norway, shipping is always free. Your order is sent via tracked post and usually arrives within 3–5 business days, unless «Posten» has other ideas.

For international orders, shipping is a flat 200NOK (close to €20), wherever you are, and your package typically takes 7–14 business days, depending on how friendly customs is feeling.

Important information for International orders

Orders shipped outside Norway may be subject to import VAT, customs duties, and handling fees. I’d love to skip that bit for you, but your local authorities might have other plans.
